Elena Leon, ’26, Is the president of Ablaze, says, “I love the community. It’s just good to serve people. And also it aligns with my views religiously.”
Leon also says, “so far [the club] has been pretty successful. We had a year where we went to St. Charles before to do the festival at St. Fatima. That was really fun. We’ve done volunteer work for the pumpkin patch.”
Leon says that she enjoys the festival every time.
A club tends to have problems in some areas, Leon says, “people might find community service embarrassing or something that they don’t think they need to do. So it’s just encouraging them to be out there.”
Leon says the community service will stand out on their college application.
Leon says, “Please join Ablaze.”
