The new tackle football and flag football season is in full swing, and along with those on the field, the sidelines also have new faces to support the Rangers.

Gabriella Gann, ‘27, shared her excitement for the upcoming season and the goals she wants to achieve during her last season of cheerleading.

Gann says, “I just hope to make it the best last season I possibly can, and make sure that I can push all the people around me to hit all of our stunts, make our last routines really good, and just bring us some spirit and some good vibes for the rest of the season.”

Alyson Aguilar ‘29, a new sophomore on the varsity team, also answered this question and what she hopes to accomplish by the end of the season.

One goal Aguilar has for the rest of the season is, “Probably to continue building relationships with my teammates and to try my best and just have fun,” said Alyson Aguilar ‘29.

There have been multiple games since the cheer season started; Arianna Garza ‘29 expressed what her favorite moment has been so far.

“My favorite moment has probably got to be the team dinners and experiencing making new memories with my team,” said Arianna Garza ‘29.

Alyson Aguilar ’29 also explained what her favorite moment has been so far this season.

“My favorite moment was probably cheer camp just because it brought us closer together and made us work on sportsmanship and collaboration.” Said Aguilar.

Cheer season starts in spring, and they practice vigorously throughout the summer and after school when school starts. They put a lot of effort into their routines, so Gann was asked one thing that the cheer team does very well during performances.

“I think we are very good at communicating with each other to make our performances very well. I think we push each other very hard, and that makes us a really good team overall.”’ said Gann.
