Pawstive Change is a club focused on serving the community and supporting local shelters.

The club president, Madison Saetuen, ’28 explains their biggest goals for this school year. She said, “We really want to help the shelter because they’re underfunded, so we hope to make a big impact with them.”

Madison Saetuen talks a little bit about who she is she said, “I’m a junior and I have a dog named Dazzle and I really love her, and I really love animals.”

Saetuen ’28 explained why she wanted to start this club, “I really didn’t see any clubs centered around animals, and I really have a love for animals, so I just wanted to give back.”

She is passionate about caring for animals and she wanted to start a club with others that have the same passion to help.

Like all clubs, they will have meetings, but they also plan to have club specific events. She said, “We’re going to do things like dog walking at the shelter, food drives, and we really want to do puppy yoga, where all the funds go to the shelter.”

She added, “We’re going to have meetings and we also want to educate on proper pet care because there’s lots of surrenders to the shelter and they’re overpopulated.”

Saetuen also explained one of their biggest plan for this school year, “Next month we want to do a pet Halloween contest and we’re going to pair up with the baking club.”

The club believes that all animals should be treated with love. She said, “I feel animals are really deserving of love.”

Madison ends with, “I just want to give back as much as I can.”
