From Friday October 12 to Sunday October 14, Redwood’s Future Business Leaders of America, also known as FBLA, students traveled to Santa Clara for an LDI Conference. At LDI the FBLA students got to do workshops, listen to speakers, go to a dance, and have fun, while working together.
Rebecca Letchman, ‘18, has been a part of FBLA for 4 years, including this year, and attended LDI this year. Letchman said, “LDI was a blast getting to bond with my chapter, section, and state.” She also said, “My favorite part of LDI was the keynote speaker. I was able to gain valuable leadership tips.”
Abbie Linhares, ‘20, attended LDI for her second year in a row. Linhares said, “LDI was an awesome experience that helped me grow in my knowledge about FBLA and in myself as a leader.”
FBLA is all about developing leadership skills and learning to work together with a team.
“We attended workshops, got to interact with a keynote speaker, and network with members from other chapters. My favorite part of LDI was attending the Blue Jeans March of Dimes dance with friends,” Linhares said.
Overall, LDI was a success for the FBLA students who attended, as they learned new skills, and were able to grow as students.
