Are You Broke, But Want to Go to Prom? Here’s a Solution.

As anticipated all year long, Prom 2017 is finally on it’s way! For the majority of attendants, dresses will be bought, accessories will be chosen and tickets will be bought in an ease. Unfortunately, that isn’t the reality for some students. Prom is the biggest, most-funded dance of the school year and everybody who wants to go should be able to have that opportunity. Luckily, there is a special non-profit organization called the Enchanted Evening Prom Dress Event where girls of grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to pick out prom dresses and accessories donated by the community. The event’s website said, “…we don’t want any young woman to miss out on prom because her family can’t afford a dress.” The organization has been running strong since 2009 and currently aids 21 schools in Tulare and Kings County.

The event will take place on April 9th at the Wyndham Hotel from 7am to 1pm. If you or a person you know is interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, it is highly encouraged. There are a lot of different dresses and it is also limited so the early you go, the chance you’ll get the dress most desired. If you or anyone is interested in volunteering to help out at the event, it is also encouraged and all you have to do is show up and get to work!
