This past Thursday, March 30th, the Redwood swim team had a home meet against Hanford. Redwood beat Hanford 141-9.
Alex Roberts ‘20 said “Our coach had us swim events that we do not normally swim, so I had the opportunity to swim the 100 free, 200 medley relay, and 200 freestyle relay.” She improved her 100 free time by .6 seconds with a time of 55.94. She also adds, “This meet was a greet meet for our team because a lot of us got our best times.” Roberts hopes to keep setting and achieving goals throughout the season.
Sophie Terry ‘18 said, “I swam events that I did not normally swim but I did pretty good!” She got second in the 50 free, 3rd in the 100 back and 1st in the medley and 400 relays. She adds, “My goal was to get good splits in the relays and I did!”
Brooklynn Dooley ‘18 said, “I performed alright at the meet, and the team swam really well.” Her goal for this season is to get better times and become a better swimmer.
Redwood Swim’s next meet is against Garces High School on Thursday, April 6th. Go out and support the Ranger Swim Team!
