Golden West’s Big Fish!

The Golden West High School drama department has been on our campus in the LJ Williams Theater this past week in order to prepare to put on their fall musical, Big Fish.

Ryan Anders, the director, was asked a few questions about the upcoming show. Anders said that deciding which show the program will put on this year was a “long conversation with [the] team” and after a lot of debating, Big Fish was finally suggested by their make-up & hair designer. Anders said, “After listening to the soundtrack and learning what the show was about… we fell in love with it instantly.”

The three lead characters of the show were asked about what “Big Fish” means to them.

Zach Glasco, playing Will Bloom, said, ” The show means a lot to me and everybody who is in it… everybody has been touched in some way by cancer… I really understand how my character feels because of it.”

Paige Stewart, who plays Sandra Bloom, said, “It means a lot to me actually… I can really connect to my character.”

Eli Sanchez, playing Edward Bloom, said “It means a lot and it has been an amazing experience to play the roll as a father and being able to be such a wonderful role model.

Make sure to come out and support our friends at Golden West on April 5th-8th at 7pm!
