Many players around the country are signing off to go to college of their choice. Redwood happens to also have 4 of our own signees. Jace Chamberlin, ‘17, (CSUF), Chris Gonzalez, ‘17, (UAV), Parker Cantrell, ‘17, (FPU), and Vincent Pratti, ‘17, (UAV), have all signed to go play off at college somewhere else.
All these guys worked their hardest to be able to go player at the next level and want to keep going higher. Chamberlin said, “i’m just looking forward to be there and hop in as a Titan and be apart of a team that has a chance to go all the way every year.” Fullerton has 4 national titles and their latest championship was in 2004 when they beat texas. Chamberlin said his favorite part was “really the entire program, but if i had to choose one thing it would have to be the pinstripe uniforms.”
Cantrell is also looking forward to going to FPU. Cantrell said, “I’m super excited to be able to keep playing baseball and meet new people and try and compete for a Pacwest title.” Fresno Pacific has a record of 2-4 and hasn’t played any conference games this season.
Gonzalez and Pratti are both going to attend University of Antelope Valley in Lancaster to play baseball. Gonzalez said, “I’m going to get my masters in criminal justice.” UAV has a big criminal justice program at the campus. He also said when asked what he’s looking forward to most about this year, “I’m just looking forward to practice everyday because of… Ryan Blair.”
All these guys worked their hardest to get to the next level and were rewarded for it.
